This last Tuesday the upper Hugunin’s bible study went through part of Philippians and had a great time learning how to have the right attitude. Thanks to those who participated in the great discussion on our attitudes and grumbling about school and life in general. Having the right attitude can change your whole outlook on every part of your life. Every Tuesday night at 7 there’s a simple bible study in the 4th floor lounge and all are welcome. So next time you can come join in on the discussion. It’s a good opportunity to open yourself up to knew thinking and growth like this past week.
Congratulations, 4 North, we are the first wing fine this whole year in Hugunin hall. We have broken the streak and crossed that line first. I have posted multiple signs up from Laurence detailing information you need to know about this situation. Come talk to me (your RA) if you have any questions or concerns. I know some of you are unhappy about this and have talked to me, continue to do so, and for the rest know my door is open.
Just a reminder that this is our community and we have the responsibility and opportunity to make it a great one. This can be a great chance to build an amazing wing and I still believe we are on the way to that. Keep up the great work and remember that this, though is not something we accept, wont be chains holding us down. Thank you all for you cooperation as we move forward preventing any further problems.
The new bulletin Board is up. Video games are a big part of this wing. The board has SOME of the games being played on the wing, with a little basic information on them. Use this as a way to connect with other people on the wing. Its a great opportunity to join someone else you don’t game with and try something new. If you don’t see a game you play on there and want to invite others to it or see who else plays, we can put it up. There is extra space left for your additions of information reviews, gamer tags, usernames, games, or things you think will help pull together the wing around this fun culture currently present.
If you haven’t had the chance to look at the bulletin boards on the walls yet do so soon because there going to be getting changed pretty soon.
“Who’s Your RA”- I believe I have met you all at least once by now but if your looking for a little more information or conversation take a look at this board. It goes over some of my interests and answers some of the questions you guys have asked. If you don’t know extreme ironing is literally that. Zorbing is basically take a giant hamster ball and do awesome stuff.
“Pop Into Spring Semester” – This board is giving you the tools and knowledge on getting the good knowledge. At this point the semester has started its first wave of exams and classes are going full bore but there is still time to take those tips and apply them. Learning how to school is part of being at college. This is a set of simple things that can help you.
The last board is our Notification and Voting board. This is where as the name says notifications for the wing such as warning or events and opportunities to voice your opinion in your wing in a mature manor. keep looking back at it from time to time to make sure your on top of things and staying informed on your wings activity.
The Vote we had was Marvel VS. DC and the final score went to Marvel.
Way to go to all those who made it to the career fair this week, taking the next steps in your future. There were multiple businesses for a wide variety of degrees available for you to talk too. Each of them were looking for internships, co-ops, or positions for those graduating. If you didn’t get the chance this semester it will come around again next semester. Thanks to every business that took time to come here and provide this great opportunity.
Thanks to every one who made it to our first wing meeting of the semester. For those who didn’t make it we basically went over the wing agreement, who your new RA is, and a little of who you are in the wing. I’m glad we can have such a wonderful community that we can laugh and joke as well as getting stuff done. Great job for making every one feel welcomed and addressing things we can improve upon this semester in a respectable way.
